I found Jewish art to be the most
significant teaching tradition Jews employ to explore and pass down
their cultural and religious identity. As I let the paint go off of
my brush, I am fully aware that I am carrying on an ancient
tradition of the Jewish People.
Having the experience of living and creating Art in Israel brings a
special meaning to me and my art.
"Individually, his paintings
are frozen in time and space moments but collectively they tell a
compelling story about the struggles and triumph of the Jewish
people."

The old saying in Venice says,
"The long nose of the mask is the Venetian Symbol".
You put the mask on when you want to be different; to hide your
feelings, your purposes, have your little intrigues and remain
undiscovered.
From the ancient times, Venetian masks were made to represent faces
of mystical characters, never seen but believed to exist.
The Venice itself is the city in mask and through that mask that
enchanted city is looking on the surrounding world.
"Venice through the mask's eyes" that is how I named the series
of work, where he is looking in the eyes of every one of his mask,
and discovers for us the most sensitive places of the treasury of
Venice.
When the series of masks would be completed and brought together, we
would see the gold of costumes and silver of laces and masks...
masks... masks, and also the mirror reflection of the most breath
taking performance in the world - the Venice Carnival. |

Women...
The eternal topic that has always captured the interests of the
greatest of the talents.
How do you paint the world around you without a woman in it?
I find it impossible….
I will show you the woman the way I see her, with all her
mysteriousness and beauty, full of everlasting energy and love.
I know I can never be completely successful in accomplishing this
task since the enigmatic nature of the woman is very hard to capture
and depict.
But I will try to create one image after another after another until
I get close to the perfection. |

As the models for the
still-life artist using simple, familiar and habitual subjects and
also something unusual, original, including fruits, flowers, cans
with paint and brushes.
"Inanimate world" which is silently built ahead of us in still-life,
is the core of the statement of the artist that the same way is an
allegory of silence, loneliness and rest. Painting becomes means of
meditation.
In still-life the artist checks the ability of vision. As opens at a
sight at, apparently, those ordinary things that surround the person
in daily occurrence much. But master’s talent - to choose, group
some subjects, to be pulled together in due course and to revive
this imperceptible small world. |
